ClubHacks 2026 Official Rules
1. Eligibility
ClubHacks 2026 is open to University of Windsor students who are above the legal age of majority in their country of residence.
Participants must register for the event and check in on the day of the hackathon.
Organizers, judges, and volunteers may participate in the event but are not eligible to win prizes.
2. Teams
Participants may compete individually or in teams.
Teams may consist of 1–4 members.
Each participant may only be part of one team, and each team may submit one project.
All team members must be listed on the Devpost submission.
3. Project Requirements
To be eligible for judging, projects must:
Be primarily built during the hackathon
Clearly describe the problem and solution
Include a demo (live or recorded)
Include a repository or project link if applicable
Be submitted through Devpost before the submission deadline
Using libraries, APIs, frameworks, or templates is allowed, but any pre-existing code must be disclosed.
Projects that were fully built before the hackathon will not be eligible for prizes.
4. Tracks
Projects may be submitted to one of the following tracks:
Artificial Intelligence
Cybersecurity
GreenTech
Robotics
Participants should select the track that best matches their project.
5. Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated based on:
Impact and usefulness
Technical effort
Creativity and originality
Quality of demo and presentation
Relevance to the selected track
Judges’ decisions are final.
6. Prizes
Track winners will receive:
$100 CAD (split among team members)
1 trophy per winning team
Additional partner prizes may be awarded, including Best Use of Gemini (GDG Partner Prize).
Prizes may be adjusted at the discretion of the organizers if necessary.
7. Code of Conduct
ClubHacks is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Participants must treat others with respect and professionalism.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification or removal from the event.
8. Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of the projects they create.
However, by participating in ClubHacks, participants grant organizers permission to:
showcase projects
share project descriptions
display demos or screenshots for promotional purposes
9. Liability
Participants attend and participate in ClubHacks at their own risk.
The organizers and the University of Windsor are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property during the event.
10. Rule Changes
Organizers reserve the right to modify these rules if necessary to ensure a fair and safe event
